- Account Information: Name, email address, and password (stored as a bcrypt hash).
- API Key: A unique key assigned to your account for authenticating extension requests.
- Usage Data: Captcha solve logs including engine type, success/failure status, response time, and timestamp. We do NOT store the actual captcha images or solved text on our servers.
- Payment Information: Transaction details for credit purchases. Payment processing is handled by Razorpay; we do not store your card/UPI details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the captcha solving service.
- Authenticate your extension and deduct credits for each solve.
- Display usage statistics on your dashboard.
- Send important account notifications (password resets, payment confirmations).
- Improve our AI models and service performance.
3. Browser Extension Data
The Texter Captcha Solver browser extension:
- Captures captcha images only from pages you visit that match supported portal hostnames.
- Sends the captcha image data to our servers solely for solving purposes.
- Does NOT track your browsing history, personal data, or any information unrelated to captcha solving.
- Stores your API key and settings locally in the browser using
chrome.storage.
- Caches engine configuration locally for performance; this config is refreshed periodically from our servers.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data and usage logs for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at textercomputer@gmail.com.
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data:
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt (never stored in plain text).
- All communications between the extension and our servers use HTTPS/SSL encryption.
- API keys are unique, randomly generated 64-character strings.
- CSRF protection is implemented on all form submissions.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Razorpay: For processing payments. Subject to Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
- Gmail SMTP: For sending transactional emails (password resets, payment notifications).
7. Cookies
We use session cookies to maintain your login state on our website. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
